I'm just looking for some input on these components. They are going into a rig that splits time as an HTPC and as a gaming rig. I've already have a case, dvd-drive, HDD's and PSU.

Processor
Mobo
Ram
Video Card

I'm also looking for some suggestions on a quiet CPU cooler that will fit into this case:

Silverstone LC-16M Case

Most that I have seen are too tall to fit. I found this one which doesn't seem too bad:

Scythe Ninja Mini

All thoughts are welcome! Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply. I've already bought the video card when it was on sale earlier this year at NCIX but I'll have to look up up the other components at newegg.ca to see if they're cheaper.

You're right about the case being too short. That's why I have to buy an X38 mobo and run that video card in the lowest PCIe slot. Otherwise that beast of a card will only fit with the DVD drive removed.

As for the CPU cooler, I thought one with a vertical fan would provide better airflow in the LC-16M since the two exhaust fans on the back of the case can push air out and the fan on the side of the case can suck fresh air in. No?

I installed a Scythe Ninja Mini in my wife's 790GX/5400BE rig. It is quiet, and seems to be effective. It was on one of the top-5 lists at www.frostytech.com. Check there for other good low-profile coolers.
