Looking for some input [on hardware upgrades]

Currently I need a new motherboard so I feel its a good time to upgrade my question is, Is it worth it to upgrade from an amd fx 6200 to an intel i5 6600k with mobo and ram or keep fx 6200 and just get new mobo with better ram and new graphics card currently I have a gtx 760.

A better motherboard for your FX will do you very little good.

If budget is an issue, consider the i3-6100 which bests even a FX-8370 in this review:

And... there are plenty of processor upgrades available to a LGA1151 motherboard.

budget is only a slight issue I have around 500-550 to spend as far as that goes and the rest of my set up it pretty solid I have an NZXT phantom case
as well as an XSPC liquid cooler with amd and intel cpu blocks and Im not sure if I need to upgrade my gtx 760 or not but the foundation is good I just need to think about CPU and Motherboard and if I go with intel some ddr 4 ram as well

$500 buys you a I5-6600K, a Z170 motherboard and 16gb of ddr4 ram.
That is as good as it gets from a cpu point of view for gaming.

That leaves you some left over towards a future graphics upgrade.
