I'm ready to begin trying my hand at water cooling . With that said ; I'm confident I'll be ruining a lot of stuff prior to getting the hang of customs loops and what not . So as the title says I'm looking for some recommendations for old hardware I can overclock , water cool and won't break the bank when I fry it all .
AMD is usually a cheaper alternative . But any and all help is highly appreciated . Thanks it advance .

Well, going back to the LGA 775 days can get you ultra-cheap overclockable system compatable with most liquid cooling hardware.
Unfortunately overclocking was complex then, but it still is a good way to get started.

I have a C2D E7200 & a Asus P5QL PRO in my filing cabinet . Would this be efficient ?

Edit * I also have a old ATI radeon GPU , looks similar to the one you posted its a ATI 102-B62902(B) 256mb
