Question Looking for someone to help guide me on a build

Hi all,

As the title states I’m looking for some assistance/advice. My in-laws computer seems to be dead and I’d like to build them something better than the 200$ cheap tower off the shelf. My price range is anywhere from 100$ - 300$. They already have a fresh copy of windows 10 ready to install and I purchased them a new monitor for about 120$. Also picked up a cheap 40$ graphics card during my troubleshooting. I know there are tons of noob threads daily but if someone is willing to spend some time chatting here and there I’d greatly appreciate it

Notes
  1. Quick learner but I’ve never built a pc
  2. Fresh windows copy ready
  3. Keyboard, mouse, monitor ready
  4. I have a 40$ graphic card ready that can be used if it saves money and is worth it. Otherwise it’s trash as I have no need for it
  5. Computer is pretty much just for office use
Huge thanks in advance

You can use the card of you want, but it probably wont make much of a difference...
