I'll keep it simple, two questions because I'm planning to get it for a new PC.

1. Are the viewing angles bad or are they decent

2. Is the quality of audio excellent, decent or bad on the monitors speaker

Thanks for reading! 😀

Hi
i have an asus MX279H
believe me i researched all asus monitors from VX and MX and R and all other series the size of the screen in MX model (also known as Designo) are 22 , 24 and 27 inch so you could have 22 model in MX
they basically are the same but the quality of the MX model compare to other series is just about earth and sky.
the price of these two models are nearly same but there are some facts about the MX that you couldn't pass by.
and it's the AH-IPS panel Plus high quality Audio by Bang & Olufsen ICEpower the response time in fact is little slower compare to VX but everything else is just fine.

and tell you something i played ps4 and PC games and watched 1080p movies on MX model the response time is not even a bit annoying and the sound is even better then my sony speakers . the viewing angle is perfect it's exactly what is claimed by ASUS

you could read more in :

23 inch :

27 inch :

I would totally go with the MX model but I feel it's out of my price range. But as for the VX model I'm currently looking at, is it that much worse compared to the MX or is it a good budget solution with good viewing angles and nice audio quality

P.S. What did you mean by the 'earth and sky'
P.P.S. Would the VX229H (IPS) Monitor be more worth it?

I mean the monitor is not something you want to change every year so choose a monitor that could support you at least for 3 or 4 years.the difference between a monitor without IPS panel and an IPS monitor is a lot . and difference between normal types of IPS and AH-IPS is little but if you're looking for quality it's going to be important.
the word AH-IPS means Advanced High Quality IPS if you want to know the difference between this type and other types of IPS see the picture bellow:
http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/images/panel_technologies/ah-ips.jpg

about the price , i searched the web and the difference is about 38$ to 60$ between the VX228H and MX239H plus you get 1.5 more inches and ICEpower® | Bang & Olufsen audio technology. and ultra slim design.

i've been a bit indulgence about the earth and sky i meant the quality.

I'm going to assume you read my post before i wrote about the VX239H, that thing is an AH-IPS display too and prefer to use my local prices, even if its pretty cheap on the web shipping is going to be hard on me, seeing that I live in Malaysia.

So, prices. The VX228H (MYR 679) compared to the MX239H (MYR 1099) is MYR 420 more ( ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )
and the VX228H to the VX239H (MYR 869), the IPS monitor I'm now looking at is just MYR 190
So I'm asking if the VX239H is a good budget solution, offering decent sound quality now and viewing angles would be great since it IS an AH-IPS panel

(yes the currency is weak)
