I am looking for a case that meets some rather specific criteria. It must be no bigger than 10in*17in*24in (24cm*43cm*61cm) and must be very sturdy. I will be taking it with me on airplanes as a carry on as I move around a lot. It also MUST have superb airflow and cooling capabilities. It will have an r9 290 and 4770k in it and I want them to be as cool as possible. Numerous and large fan mounts are a must, six at a minimum and eight preferred (I will not use liquid cooling).
I have $220 left in my budget for the case, fans, and (most likely) a voltage controller for the extra fans (If anyone knows of a good controller, please let me know).
I have looked for many hours and the only case that meets most of these requirements is the corsair carbide 200r. However, I have read reviews that say it is not ruggedly built and it cramped on the inside as well as having a horrible drive mount. As the 200r is only $59.00 I would have enought money left over to fill every fan mount AND get an ssd so I wouldn't have to take mine out of my laptop (the ssd isn't necessary, it would just be a bonus).
The price and fan mounts first attracted me to the 200r but after many hours of searching the interwebs, I now think that it many be my only option.
Anyone know of another option I could look into and compare against the 200r?
