Hello everyone! I bought my PC components back in 2012 with my only upgrades being my GPU and PSU back in 2015.

Motherboard: Intel DP67BG
GPU: GTX 780
CPU: i7 2600k
RAM: Kingston 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz Intel XMP CL9 DIMM
PSU: Corsair CS750M
HDD: 1 TB Seagate (SATA)

Basically, it seems that my HDD is really slowing down my PC. I'm looking for a good SSD upgrade up to $150. I really appreciate any recommendations compatible with my motherboard.

Also, if I want more RAM to upgrade to 16 GB, do I need to get the same kind? I have 2 slots left.

Solution
Crucial MX500 for SSD. 1TB costs ~ $120.

For ram upgrade best option would be getting kit of 2x8GB DDR3 1600mhz.

You can also try 2x4GB DDR3 1600mhz and use it together with your currently installed modules. Unfortunately this sometimes can lead to ram compatibility problems (not very often, but it happens).
