Looking for tablet recommendations, mostly for reading e-books

Hi I'm looking to buy a tablet mostly for reading e-books, plus some basic functionality like internet browsing and email

I'm strongly considering the Samsung Galaxy S2 9.7 inch

This one would cost around 395 euros where I live, there are some other versions of Samsung tablets that are a bit cheaper but seem to have substantially less performance.

Is this a good choice? Any other recommendations?

For reading and not getting eye-strain, can't beat e-ink so a Kindle or similar. Phone can handle web / email etc?

I can't buy a kindle in my country. Only a kobo e-reader, the one that seems interesting is the KOBO E-reader Aura Edition 2 for 109 euros is it any good?
