looking for the best Msata to M.2 Adapter ?

Good morning,

I'm looking to add an adapter (whatever adapter to fit a M.2 Samsung 960 Evo 500GB on it). I actually have a MSI Z97 GD65-Gaming motherboard with 2 MSI Geforce 970 in SLI and i want to upgrade to a Samsung 960 drive very soon but i'm not sure what would be the best solution to achieve this goal without affecting the performance of the drive itself or removing any existing device in my computer. I know i have an Msata slot on my board so i was wondering if a Msata to M.2 would do the job ?

What are you recommending ? Any solutions to my problems without changing everything ? :S

a 960 IS NOT A SATA DRIVE! It REQUIRES PCIe lanes so you can not do it. If you had a 850 M.2 THAT would be a SATA SSD Using the M.2 Slot and could use a M.2 to mSATA Adapter

That board cannot use an NVME drive. Which is what the 960 is.
Even if you were to find an "adapter", it would still only operate at SATA III speed.
A waste of a drive and $$$.

Wow didn't see that it wasn't totally NVMe incompatible? Didn't really look though otherwise he could get a NVMe to PCIe adapter but oh well.

I under stand there is no M.2 but that isn't to say he can't get a PCIe Adapter card and run it though a PCIe Slot though but he was trying to avoid losing any PCIe lanes anyways lol
