And i am looking for a processor and CPU upgrade, RAM i can do lol but finding compatible hardware is hard for a person who knows average about computers, if any other information is needed and i will try to get it but i was wondering how i can upgrade. I know its a very old PC but I love this old thing, thanks for the help in advance, i live in the UK also if that means anything. Runs amazing at the minute, just looking for that extra power.

Solution
For your socket, LGA 775, you won't find anything better for cheap, you will have to spend a fortune that you could spend on a completely new board and a more powerful CPU. If you get a quad, the single core performance won't be better.

Your best bet is to get an SSD for better loading times and get a GT 730 2GB or GTX 750 Ti (depends on your budget) for gaming.
You can't do much with what you have already. If you are not gaming that this computers is as good as you will get.

Getting an SSD would be a great upgrade though - it will improve your loading times by a lot. Kingston, Crucial, SanDisk, and Samsung are good companies that make good SSDs.

Cheers :)

Well ram would be a start. It can take 10666. I know Newegg sells some Cas 7 DDR 1066. If you get 2 4 gig sticks then you'd be running in dual channel mode which would help.
It will take a core2quad. But speed depends on what your willing to spend.
A Nvidia 750ti is a decent card and comes in low profile if you have the sff
I would go with an ssd and at the very least try to source a matching 4 gig stick for the one you have so you can run dual channel mode

You can upgrade your CPU up to Q9650 (Quad core, TDP 95w). I have the same motherboard and graphic card Ati 6450 1gb ddr3 /64bits and I am using Q6600(quad core TDP 105w) now, but planning to upgrade for better CPU. Maybe you can upgrade the RAM memory for 666Mhz( 10600U ). I have 4 sticks of 2gb Kingston PC3- 10700 working perfect.
