Looking for the My two Hard drive problem

The second drive [old one] drive is not even showing in disk management. Does using 2 HDD (500 GB[old] 1 TB[new]) affect the SMPS ? Any suggestions?

My specs:
RAM 2 GB,
Intel duo core E7500 @2.93 Ghz,
WIN 7 64-bit,
2 HDD 1 is the old one which is 500 GB is Not Showing and the new one is 1TB which is Working
MY Motherboard is Intel DG41WV
SMPS: Around 450W

Your question is a bit all over the place.

Yes a hard drive uses power, but not much, a lot less than your CPU.

If the drive is not showing up in disk management, have you tested it with another computer or with another cable? Does it spin up? If no to all of those, it's dead.

Some Miracle happened, I got my two HDDs back.
