Looking for the right PSU

I recently build a PC. It kept shutting on and off, I found out the problem was the PSU. I replaced everything, then after trying my friend's PSU the computer worked just fine.

So just buy that PSU right? Well I would but it's been sold out for awhile on newegg. Which is the Rosewill TACHYON -1000w

The PSU that I have is Rosewill Xtreme Series RX850-D-B 850W. Can anyone tell me why this one didn't work btw?

My PC:
Intel Core i5-4670
ASUS Z87-PRO LGA 1150
Geforce GTX 560ti
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB
Seagate 1TB HDD

Also I might be looking to upgrade to a GTX760 or 770 in the near future, so I want the PSU to be enough for that too. Thanks in advance =)

Solution

Thanks I just want to be careful since my older one crapped out on me. So I wanted one that will last me a really long while and not have to worry for some time.

Always read the one star reviews on newegg before you buy. For long term reliability I'd remove silverstone from the tier 1 list. They make good cases, but I've had two of their PSUs die on me.

I hate spending my time fixing computers, so I only buy seasonic x-series, or corsair ax series.
