Hi,
I am planning to buy a new pc with RTX 2080, i5 8600k, but am unable to decide on the monitor as prices for premium products in India are jacked up so much that theres hardly any value in the purchase. Have a look at the table below:

Monitor——————Price in India—Price in $—Price in US——Difference
Acer LED ET322Q—-31,000————451————-- 400——————51
LG 34UC98————-75,000 ———-1,091———-— 740————-- 351
Asus PG348Q———130,000———-1,892———-—-950————-- 942
Acer Predator Z35P—81,000 ———1,179———-—-850—————-329
Dell U3415W ——-—75,000——-—-1,091———-— 670————-—421
Dell AW3418DW——162,000——-—2,357————1,090————1,267
LG 34UC80-B——-—-81,000——-—-1,179————- 550———-—-629
Acer Predator X34P—81,500——-—1,186—————900—————286

Look at the bloody prices here, especially the Asus and alienware monitors which are the best ones out there. For the price of Alienware AW3418DW i could buy a 55inch oled tv from lg lol. My preference is ultrawide IPS Panel and am planning to play at 3440 x 1440 @ 60hz. Acer ET322QK is fantastic value but i wont get Ultrawide and no IPS. The only other monitor worth buying at these prices is the Acer Predator X34 which has IPS, ultrawide, GSYNC and 3440 x 1440 @120hz. Kindly advise if my observations are correct or am missing something out as i wont be upgrading for atleast 4-5 years.

I’ll be buying my setup by the end of november. Is there any point waiting more? Will there be any new monitors coming?

Solution
Standard widescreen is definitely cheaper than ultrawide.... and TVs are generally not quite entirely suitable for PC monitor use, at least if gaming is involved.

That said, I will admit to being absolutely in love with ultrawides myself. I will also admit that my wallet screamed at me when I went that route.

Monitors are worth spending on as you will definitely keep them for a long time.

My own preferences:
- I like larger screens. Some say that 2560x1080 on a 34 inch monitor creates pixels that are too big, but I disagree.
- If you're going with Nvidia, it might be worth the extra money to get an ultrawide Gsync monitor. Gsync adds to the price, but for gaming, keeping smoothness, I'm told it's worth it.
- I've heard good...

Also:
- Consider a 1080 or a 1080Ti instead of the 2080, to save some money.
- If you go 2560x1080 instead of 3440x1440, then even going down to a 1070 or a 1070Ti would be advisable

No i wont be gaming at 2560x1080 at all. I would have loved to get a discounted1080ti but the prices havent come down and the price difference is infact only $70-80. Resolution for all monitors is 3440x1440 except acer et322qk which is true 4k 3840 x 2160 @ 60hz. That tv comment was just in reference to the ridiculous price. I am not looking to buy a tv lol not atleast for gaming.
