Hey guys, my current system is:
i5 2500K 3.3 Ghz
Ram 8GB
AsRock Z77 Gen 3
Radeon 6870 1GB (I know shes pretty dated).
500 Watt Power supply
500 GB Hard drive (my 1TB one just crapped out).
Basically some suggestions on a upgrade or should I buy a new PC.
My PC upgrade budget will be 400 dollars. My new PC should be like 850 dollars. I'm in Canada too so the economy ain't to good take that into factor. Also new monitor good for gaming.
Games I should be able to play should be games like
Just Cause 3
The Divison
Fallout 4
Etc.
Thanks guys for your help I appreciate it very much,
Nelson

Solution
you dont need to upgrade anything except your power supply and graphics card. but including a monitor isn't going to be easy with 400. a decent monitor will cost you about $140, so dropping down to any graphics card lower than a 4gb gtx960 or r9-380 isn't going to be a meaningful upgrade for you. forget a whole new system for $850, not possible. your best off just upgrading your current system. the 2500k is still a beast of a processor.

I agree, upgrade your psu and gpu, upgrade the board and cpu later, but the 2500k is actually still an ok performer for gaming. In fact I was watching a video on YouTube that was comparing the 2500k vs the new i3 6100. Basically the 2500 could still hold it's own, plus you should be able to overclock your 2500k to get some extra performance.
