Looking for VGA to Display Port Adapter

Have desktop PC with VGA output and monitor with display port input. Is there an adapter that will effectively bridge the two??

far as I know they only works one way ? and that's to convert digital from your card / motherboard to analog to a monitor ?

what you should do is contact these guys or a manufacture of these converters ?

It's called graphics card with displayport output.
Seriously. It probably will be cheaper than getting active VGA->DisplayPort adapter.

Indeed a cheapo $30 GPU will take care of that. Are you certain there isn't a DVI connector somewhere on the board? Been a long, long time since I have seen a machine with only VGA. If it is only VGA, it is probably time to consider replacing it.
