Looking for volume control knob

Solution
i own a pair of ath-m50s. for the price they cannot be beat!

i'd suggest adjusting volume through the device instead of through a knob, but if you're set on a knob then read on..

the actual name i believe for such devices is a rheostat but you will not find many under that name. most are found under volume control or similar tag.

something like this?

Solution
i normally use them at work with my ipod. since they are fairly low resistance the ipod drives them fine. much better than earbuds and others.

i have used them on my laptop while i was traveling instead of the crappy speakers. kind of bulky for travel but nice in the hotel.

i tested them once on my receiver but i'm running some good speakers so i dont need to use headphones. i have a klipsch quintet IV 5.0 set with a 450w subwoofer. i love those speakers so my phones normally only get used at work haha.

i'm running the straight cord model not coiled.
