I want to upgrade my pc so that I can play Fallout 4 when it comes out on medium to high settings.

I think my cpu is fine for the game, but I know my graphics card is going to give me a problem.

I've been doing some research into what kind of gpu I can add to my system, and I see a lot of people recommending the gtx 750ti. I see that Bestbuy is having a sale atm on the 750ti and I was wondering if this particular version of it will work in my computer.

My PSU is the stock one that came with the prebuilt computer. It's 280w and has a output of 12v and 18a max. I know the PSU is very weak, but I'm on a bit of a budget. I believe the minimum watts for this gpu is 400, so I'm going to have to upgrade the psu anyways. Any recommendations?

If anyone needs other information please let me know and I will try to provide it. If anyone recommends a different gpu please do so.

Another question I have is, what are the differences between the versions of the gtx 750ti? I see some of them have one fan, while the one I'm interested in has 2 fans.

Solution
the 270x will be able to handle it alone, when you crossfire a gpu to another gpu, the fastest gpu will adapt the speed to the slowest gpu.
so in short, the performance will be bad.

the cpu will slightly bottleneck the gpu (you will lose 10-15% performance) but a overclock on the cpu will solve that.

I don't know if you already have a good cpu cooler, if not a coolermaster hyper 212 is a great option and not expensive.
the 750 ti will need atleast a psu with 300 watts, so a 400-450 watt psu isn't a bad idea.

also when buying the psu don't cheap out on it, if you are buying a low quality psu and it dies, then it will fry your motherboard, kill your cpu,gpu and a lot of other parts.

when buying a psu look at brands like: EVGA,Corsair,Coolermaster and Seasonic.

these are reliable brands, especially seasonic.

and about the fans: 1 fan on the gpu means higher temperaturs, so you can't overclock as high as you could with 2 fans.

I guess I'll pay a little more to get a 600w psu.

I only have a small concern though. Will my cpu bottleneck the r9 270x?

Also, do I have to crossfire the 270x to my apu, or can I just disable my current gpu and have the 270x run alone?
Is there any benefit to crossfiring?

Thanks for all the help too.
