As the title states, I would like a new system for around the $2000 mark. I need everything minus the peripherals, monitor and speakers. Prefer intel. Any suggestions?

Fastest gaming processor, silent cooler, fully-featured motherboard, low-profile high speed RAM, fast and big SSD, reliable HDD, very powerful graphics card (you shouldn't waste more than this for gaming), big and good-looking case, top-notch power supply, and Windows 8.1.

I agree with ^ on gaming build, 1500$ is pretty much for gaming in at least a few years, but if you still want to spend 2000$ for the best, near future-proof build, consider this (no OS included)
