Hi Everybody!!!

I've never made a computer before and banter clause is coming to town really soon and he needs to know the banter of me getting a new computer.

I would like to know if my parts will go well together and if it is possible to get cheaper and/or better parts.

I'm not a complete noob but I'm not a pro so please help me out here. I'm looking to spend about £300+ but trying to keep costs as low as possible and run the latest games like AC: Unity.

Check out so far: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/JNhhGX

Also is it worth getting a gtx 960 instead of the 760. I heard there was such thing but I can't find it on pcpcartpicker.

I think I can get windows 7 or 8 from ebay for like only £40 so I'll get that from there.

I've already got a 1440 x 990 display and a really old VGA screen that ill be using. I may possibly get another screen, if its too laggy I wont use 3.

I'll pretty much be using it just for gaming and I might be rendering stuff.
Thanks in advance

Solution
■ The 280 is a better card than the 760 - yes it has an app called raptr which is very very similar to geforce experience.

The only thing it doesn't have is 'physx' which works on all of about 6 or 7 games.

This is the bargain of the moment for £125- order it quickly is my advice - it will be OOS very soon!!

This xfx 550 is a very very good PSU & will suit fine

This gigabyte is a better board than the Asus IMO

The 212 evo is a big cooler - you need to check if it will fit your case - any case less than 200mm width will be doubtful.

The gtx 960 didnt come out yet, so its not on pcpartpicker. Don't u need a case?

Here's a build: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/L6DGVn

but for a budget of 300 pounds???.... very hard to build

i need it as cheap as possible because banter clause says so and i already have a case from a super old computer so can i just take the parts out and put these in or have there been drastic changes to computer cases?

The gtx 760's performance is about 5-10% slower on average slower than the 280. About technical shizzle, gtx 760 doesn't have any thing special,
Both cards support antialiasing, so don't worry.
The r9 280 has 1 more GB of Vram than the 760 for a total of 3gb of vram, just in case u use more than 1 monitor. Good luck with ur build :)

Does the 280 have all the technologies that are in the NVIDIA assassins creed ad???

Does it have its own versions of GeForce experience and gpu boost 2.0 that are NVIDIA???

The source 210 suggested doestfit a 212 - best budget case in stock at the minute anywhere is this antec GC 500- comes with 3 fans & a twin speed fan controller

Ok i'll get the 280.

And the gigabyte mobo

I really dont want to spend too much so i'll just use my old case; hopefully it is ok.
its only 157mm wide so probably not going to get the cooler.
Can i just use the stock cooler or do they not include one???

And i need a legit version of windows 7 or 8, whichever is cheaper, from ebay.
Apparently there are some fake windows' on ebay but i think they are cheaper.
i found one once, but i seem to have lost it. if there is any other cheap place to get windows please say so.

is oos out of stock???

the xfx is a seasonic so is a better quality psu
no reviews on the zalman anywhere
if you must have modular the cx500m is a solid if unspectacular buy - you wont have nay problems with a 6300/r9 280 combo

yes the gigabyte board comes with 4 sata cables,& numerous cable ties etc.

the fx 6300 comes with a stock cooler - its noisy but does the job just about - thats a very slimiline case you have you may be limited to a flat blower style cooler anyway
this would most likely fit & is decent bang for buck

No AC unity is a mess. 1440p with ultra with a 280 will result in really low fps.
Even a single gtx 980 cant do that right now
