Looking to build a replacement Desktop price range $900-$1300 price range

I am wanting to update my current Gaming Desktop or build a whole brand new one. I am wanting to try and get an I-7 processor if possible but not sure what motherboards are compatible, what kind of power supply I need to get for both. My old desktop has a gtx970 it I can use that tell I get a new graphics card. So what ever help I can get would be greatly appreciated. Used this place for my first desktop I am using now. Ask away on specs you may need or whatever thanks for help! I would prefer to go with Pentium if at all possible.

Do I have to OC the I5 to perform well? Never OC anything before.

So next question how hard is it to use my current OS on old PC and use same hard drive on it and put on new stuff? No idea if that makes sense. I don't wanna purchase another OS and or another hard drive if I don't have to.

You dont have to OC. You will need,to reinstall windows but can use your same key

I didn't have a key it was free update to it from Windows 8.1 I had at the time.

Any led strip lights off amazon will,work. Your board has 2 built in headers.
