Good list. The PSU is not a great one, being made by Sirtec (think OCZ, Rosewill Hive), so I would probably favor the Corsair 750TX V2

With the promo code it's about the same price. You sacrifice a little efficiency for more reliability and better support from Corsair.

The Antec EA-750 Green, made by Delta, is also an interesting budget choice, but not reviewed

Thanks for the feedback. I will go with the list that you recommended but I have already purchased a Cooler Master HAF912. Would the parts fit into this case and can I overclock with this build? Also, should I just get an external Blue Ray drive? Thanks.

All of that is true, but I don't have to be quite as impartial as Gabe :) I will favor Seasonic built power supplies over Sirtec, probably for some time yet. I will also favor Corsair, Antec, XFX, and Seasonic brands over PC P&C, who after all are just a division of OCZ now.

I don't understand that question.

I don't consider the PC P&C a bad PSU, but if you are going to use a Sirtec PSU why not spend less and get the Rosewill Hive? That's what companies like Sirtec and ATNG are good at, producing cheap adequate PSUs.

Gabe hands out Golden awards like candy. He tests well and he would never recommend a poor unit, but he will give gold awards where others would grade lower.

Toughest to easiest: Hocp, Johnnyguru, Hardwaresecrets

It's completely reasonable to judge a PSU based on the overall reputation of the manufacturer and the brand reputation. Not as the ONLY gauge certainly, but as a major factor in your decision.

So if I were in the business of reviewing PSUs, I might very well hand out awards to all these Sirtec PSUs. But since I'm not, I can take in less tangible factors as part of my recommendations. I'll recommend Sirtec when the price makes sense... but if the budget allows or there is little difference, I would rather trust a Seasonic or Delta built model.

With the Asus and Asrock boards it's pretty much a toss up. Six one way and half a dozen the other. As far as SSD's go I like the Sandisk Extreme SSD's for the fact they utilize Toggle Nand SF. That and they are reasonably priced not to mention they are faster than say the Crucial SSD's.
