sockets on both AMD and intel are starting to fade away (intel with skylake and AMD with Zen), so in-terms of the CPU, not much without a motherboard swap, but you can upgrade your graphics card anytime you want.

I hope you didn't spend 400 on a "gaming" computer yet. You aren't going to be able to do jack with a 400$ gaming computer. You are better off buying a game console if you are going to be gaming because 400$ in a pc will get you nothing at all. Don't rush yourself, save up about 400$ more, then buy a rig that you will atleat be able to upgrade in the future. $400 will get you and out dated piece of junk.
