I just got a GTX 1080 and I am looking for a suitable monitor for it.

Currently I am using a 1600 x 900 res monitor which doesn't really 'push' the GTX 1080 to its limits.

Im looking for a cheap 2560 x 1440 monitor because 3840 x 2160 monitors are way too expensive!

My budget is $400 but it costs aprox $100 for shipping so im looking for a monitor that is $300 or less.

I found this Acer monitor for $263.19 :
https://www.amazon.com/Acer-G257HU-smidpx-25-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00QS0AKVK/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1475507187&sr=1-1&keywords=Acer%2BG257HU&th=1

I would like to know if there are any similar/better deals or whether i should just save up for a 4k monitor one time.

Any help is much appreciated:wahoo:

4k is overrated and it's not quite time for it yet even with a 1080.
Also 4k is too much resolution for anything upto and including 21:9 34" and 16:9 27" and you would have to use high DPI setting in Windows which is not a good experience.
What you should be savinf for is a G-Sync 27" monitor(27 beacause 1440p is too much resolution for 25" just like 4k is for 27"): http://pcpartpicker.com/product/BcTrxr/dell-monitor-s2716dg

That being said, if that's too much, you could get away with somethign like this: http://pcpartpicker.com/product/nZkD4D/acer-monitor-umhx2aa001
