I'm looking for a new laptop, I am in need of a computer that meets these requirements: my budget is about $1200 (+ $150 if needed)
I need it to handle some middle to high end gaming, I will be using it for school also so it needs to be sort of professional looking; I would like it to have a back lit keyboard, an ssd and at least a 1tb hdd. nothing less than 8gbs of ram and if its expandable it would definitely be a plus. As I said before this will be for school and gaming but since I will not be taking my rig to school the laptop will have to be able to perform.

Solution
This will be difficult as most gaming laptops are very heavy for mid - high end gaming. Assuming you can carry heavy laptops you could look at the msi dominator range or asus rog range. Do not buy any laptop that is thin. It is not worth your money as the performance will not reflect on the price and it will be very noisy and hot.

Hmmm... maybe this could work (http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/MSI-GE60-Apache-Gaming-Laptop/W/248549) - $1,218 with an 860M GPU, 128 M.2 SATA SSD, and 1TB HDD.

(http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Gigabyte-P35Gv2-Gaming-Laptop/W/248550) - $1,268 with nearly the same as the above specs, but it has more professional look.

Let me know if you have any questions or would like more suggestions!

Weight isnt really a problem, I was looking online and I found this http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8268s-clevo-p150sma-p-6987.html its a little outside of my budget but if its worth it, i'd rather spend an extra $200 for a machine that's capable of doing everything I need and more. I've never had any history with the sager brand so I don't know if its quality or not. I also found another pc for a bit cheaper http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8670-clevo-p670sa-p-7849.html again if i could get some feedback that would be great.
