It has been a while since I looked at monitors and there are so many varieties now that I don't know which one to pick. I am looking for a monitor that will give me an overall great experience. I play games like Battlefield 3 and occasionally do some photo editing in photoshop.
I currently have a HP 2210m LCD monitor.
I have been looking at this Dell monitor but I dont really know much about it other than people seem to like it:

Only bad thing about the money above is some people say it needs calibrated and had bad colors out of box.
I am looking for a monitor around 23" I think. I will pay for a higher price monitor if it is worth it but I don't want to spend $500 on the latest and greatest technology. The least amount of money I can spend for a quality monitor will do fine.
Any recommendations?
