Looking to buy for my niece

Yes hello, this is my first time asking for any opinions on this site. I have been here and looked through the forums and found most of what i read to be very helpful. So atm my niece if starting to get into gaming alittle bit, minecraft , sims, some other random steam games. Problem is her parents can not really afford much in the way of pc atm. So i figured i would pick something up, that could maybe last her a little bit. Im not too big into building anything myself mind you and have probably around 7-800 dollar budget.
To be honest i was looking at

I was wondering if that would would hold up gaming wise or be too much of a waste as opposed to something i build(i really dont want to do atm). Anything would help thanks.

I mean, of course a tower you could build for $800 would be way better. For a young girl, the portability of a laptop would probably be preferred for now. I'd look for sales on Lenovo Y50's. They usually sit around $800-1000 and are the cheapest you'll find a decent gaming laptop. Their minimum specs are like a 1TB HDD i5 4200h GTX 860m iirc, which is good enough to max any of the games you've mentioned without issue
