Ok guys I have a new PC build that i built about two months ago. I have:

1. Asus Maximus Hero VI
2. Intel 4770K I7 Overclocked to 4.2ghz
3. 8gb G Skill Sniper RAM Overclocked to 2000
4. 4 TB Green WD HD Internal
5. External 1TB WD My book
6. Samsung 160gb SSD
7. 700W PSU

I am wanting to spend around 500$. I want something that I can add to in the future like SLI or Crossfire. I was thinking the GTX 780 or....? Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

Yes I am gonna upgrade the PSU when i do add the 2nd card. I am currently running one monitor now but in a couple weeks will be getting a second one. Monitor is Asus by the way. Is there a Radeon card that is equivalent to this one for cheaper or is the superior one right now? EVGA is my PSU brand!

Finding a cheap Radeon card right now means you would have to get something like a 7870. All the new R9 cards are being bought out because of their success in bitcoin, litecoin, dogecoin, and any other coin mining. All the R9 cards are about $100 above their original price tag because of the demand for them. Unless they drop in price all of a sudden, I would go with Nvidia.

It depends on what applications/games you use. Keep in mind that not all games benefit from SLI, and some don't use it at all.

If the software uses CUDA, it will probably utilize SLI, but before you purchase a second card, look up the name and find out if it does or not. It would suck to spend another $400-$500 to find out you can't use SLI.
