Looking to buy new monitor

Hello guys, here are my thoughts:

1. What Is Your Country Of Origin? Hungary

2. What do you plan to do with this monitor? (ex. Games, Movie Watching, Photo Editing, etc.) Mostly movie watching and games.

3. What resolution and screen size do you want? 1920x1080, at least 27", I'm also open to 4k if there is some good value for money ratio offers.

4. What refresh rate do you want? (ex. 60 hz , 70 hz.) I'm okay with 60Hz, but the higher the better.

5. How much are you looking to spend? Somewher between 130 - 260 pounds, good value for money is important. I'd rather spend more if I get much better, than by some lower quality product.

6. Brands Preferred (ex. Samsung, Acer, Asus, AOC, HP, Viewsonic, etc. ): LG, Samsung, Asus, but I'm open to any brand if the quality is good enough.

7. Brands Not Preferred (state reason why): Nothing really

8. Are You Buying More Than One Monitor? I already have a LG 24EA53VQP IPS monitor, the new one would be my primary, the old LG the secondary monitor.

9. How Many Displays Can Your GPU Support Maximum? And what GPU and driver version are you using if applicable? Not sure, I have GTX970 ITX version, so 2 monitors will work just fine. I can always update my GPU driver to the latest.

10. What Port Do You Want To Connect To (ex. DVI-D, HDMI, etc). I'm fine with DVI-D, HDMI or DisplayPort.

11. Is This Monitor A Primary Display Or A Secondary Display? This is going to be my primary, the old LG 24EA53VQP my secondary.

12. Is This A Secondary Display For A Laptop? No, it's for desktop.

Some additional info: The LG 24EA53VQP that I have has terrible IPS glow from the bottom corners, and it really bothers me. I also have an LG IPS HDTV, but the blacks are really bad with that one too, so I'm a bit afraid of IPS, especially LG IPS. I don't really know if VA, PLS or some other panel would be better with the blacks, but I definitely want much better blacks.
Response time is fine with me up to 5ms (but no more, becuase of the gaming). I don't want TN panel because of the bad viewing angles and colors.

So basically I'm looking for something with much better blacks than the LG 24EA53VQP (no glows please), better colors and viewing angles than TN, with max. 5ms response time, min. 27", min. FULLHD.

Also with VESA 75x75 or 100x100, because I would like to put the two screens on one multi-monitor desk stand.

Thanks for the ideas in advance.

I finally decided and ordered the Iiyama X2783HSU-B3. It's a bit more expensive than the Benq, but it's a newer model, with really good reviews. Also it's 75Hz and has a USB hub, so I think it's worth the +20 pounds.
It arrives on Thursday, I can't wait to check it out. :)
Thanks for all the help.

Thanks, the U2518D is indeed a bit pricey, I could afford it, but I'm not sure if I want to spend as much on a monitor. I'm also really afraid of the IPS panel, since I had really bad experience with my LG 24EA53VQP (lights, glows and stuff, really bad black picture). I know it is a problem with IPS generally, but I was really dissappointed with this LG.
Do you maybe have personal experience with this U2518D, if so, how are the blacks? Any lights/glows?

I quite like the LC27F390FHU at first sight, but I'm not yet sure if I want a curved monitor, still making up my mind about it :).
I will see if I have the option to check them out live in some local store. Sadly, probably not.

its alot of money so take your time to read this reviewthoroughlyhttps://pcmonitors.info/reviews/dell-u2518d/#Colour_reproduction

colours are beautiful, as well as the design.
the audio is nice and crisp but a little bit quiet, so for a small sleeping room its fair enough.
on work Ive got a 2k ips ultrasharp monitor from dell. I love them, however they are a bit pricey.
I use them for autocad and solidworks, the good thing is I can see more info on screen with the 2k resolution.

After a LOT of reading and checking out reviews and stuff, I finally decided to go with a VA panel monitor.
Right now, the 2 last contenders would be: IIYAMA ProLite X2783HSU-B3 and BENQ GW2760HS.

I quite liked the Asus that you own, but I decided I won't buy another IPS monitor because of the poor blacks. Also, the Asus doesn't have VESA 75 or 100 standard.
If I have a problem with games on the VA (ghosting), I will play on my LG IPS, but I think for movies the VA panel will be much better.

Any thoughts on the 2 monitors I picked as last contenders?

Iiyama X2783HSU-B3
Now that I've used the new monitor for almost a week I thought I'd share my conclusion.
Black color and dark scenes are sooo much better than on my old IPS. I'm not a professional gamer, so gaming is also all right on this screen for me.
The colors are a bit worse than the IPS, but I can live with that, the amazing contrast and black levels make up for it.
All in all it has beautiful picture quality. No noticeable backlight bleeding.
I had to play a little with the settings, but after a little time I got the picture that I was hoping for.

Also, anyone who buys this monitor should definitely use the displayport, and make sure the refresh rate is set to 75Hz. At first for me it was automatically set to 60Hz, then I switched it and the picture quality is way better when the refresh rate is 75Hz.

Anyway, just thought I'd share this, VA panel definitely convinced me over IPS.
Also, thanks for your input again.
