Looking to buy ssd which brand and why

Hey looking to add an ssd into my system because right now I have a laptop harddrive (512gb seagate) I only am currently using 200gb/512gb but that is also with a few games that I don't even play.
I live in Western Australia as well and would prefer to buy instore
I want my ssd just to install my OS, steam and a few of my favourite games (csgo, sleeping dogs etc..)

Looking to buy a 256gb ssd/240 usable w/e

one of the fastest SSD right now is the Samsung 850. But any good brand SSD will show big improvements over a HDD. difference is day and night.

The Samsung 840 EVO is considered king it seems like. I'd go with that.

not anymore. the 850 is on top as of right now. newer technology etc etc.

I will probably pick up the samsung tomorrow, thanks for the advice, it seems worth the extra 20 odd dollars for the performance and reliability
