looking to downgrade the bios of a DH61CR motherboard

Hello, I am looking to downgrade the bios of a DH61CR motherboard due to older Linux software incompatibility that is no longer supported. I have managed to downgrade from BEH6110H.86A.0120 to 0111 using the F7 bios update and a USB stick. Release notes of 0111 say you cant downgrade to 099 or less. Is there a way to do this? I don't want to brick the mobo, but I want the Bios to be an earlier version.

Replacing BIOS Chip

The replacement BIOS chip is programmed with the latest BIOS update after purchase. If you need a different BIOS version, it may be possible to program the desired version into the BIOS chip. I suggest you ask, if you want to do that.

is there a reason you cant run a newer build of the os that work without you changing the bios???

Like I said, unfortunately the software can’t be manipulated. Im wondering if there is a way to force a bios downgrade update without crashing or issues. Or is this a bad idea?
