About 2 weeks ago my EVGA GTX 560 ti died and I'm just 5 months out of warranty on it, so they're not replacing it(I called up and asked if they'd extend it). So right now I'm looking into getting a new video card, and since its been about 3-3.5 years since buying it, I'd like to get something better than the previous one. I'm in Canada, so I'm looking to spend around $300-$400 (just a range) CDN for a new card, preferably less, but I'm willing to spend a bit. This is for my gaming PC, I was playing MGS5, and was planning on playing Star Wars: Battlefront next as well as Witcher 3, but I'd like to have a card that can run 1080p at a solid framerate (At least 30fps) at the very least. Preferably, I'd like to get a card that's a bit more than that, just to take into account newer games that I might be interested in. Thanks.

Here are my current specs:

The card linked is actually a Medhigh- high end card. Its very powerful and will be able to handle most anything you throw at it.
The card linked in canada is 319 dollars. Right in your price range, most likely the best you will get for your money ATM with your price range. Canadian Newegg Link

Get a 390x, best card for the money and it is just as good as an gtx 980. If that does not serve you then your going to have to pay for either another in crossfire (which I a have) or a GTX 980Ti which is way beyond your price point.

Here it is:

USD = 429.99 (without rebate)
429.99 * .765424 = 329.05 CND
.765424 = Conversion rate (1 CND = .765424 USD)

Oh and the R9 390x will run almost all, if not all games at 100+ FPS at 1080p, but it depends on how much mods you use too if any. It is a great card.

I can't think of any modern game that does nit support SLI or Crossfire well, and if a game does not support them they are probably old. In that case one R9 390x will max it no problem.

Just as an update, after talking with some people for a while, I've been interested in getting a 1440p 120Hz or 144Hz monitor and running that as my main display. With that in mind, will this card be able to run most modern and future games at that high of a resolution, while maintaining a solid framerate? In general, what am I looking for in these cards, model number aside? VRAM? processor speed? What's going to have the greatest impact in the scenario I just mentioned?
