I have never built a computer before, and A friend of mine has recommended this site for help in achieving my goal. I have a budget of around $1000, give or take $100, I have a pre-built Asus Essentio CM6850 right now, and really want to get my graphics up for Elder Scrolls Online, and Dragon Age Inquisition. Any help would be appreciated since I am VERY new at this.

Thanks,
S. Potter

A SSD is usually used for an OS and any other program that you would like to run faster than usual. I suggest getting the Samsung EVO 250GB SSD from Amazon as there is a really good deal on it right now!
Here is a build.

The GTX 770 can be swaped for a Radeon R9 280X or 7970 GHz edition.

This needs work. First the i7 is pointless. Get an i5. They perform the same in games. Second, The PSU can be dialed back to 650w and be more than enough even with overclocking. Third, use the saved money from those two places to buy a HDD, SSD and case because this build hasn't got one and it will not fit in the prebuilt case you have.

I was looking at the 760, with an $80 price difference, is the 770 worth it? I have a 1TB HDD in my current computer, what is a standard size for a SSD? It is usually just used for the OS right?
