hi could anyone help with bios settings for a stable overclock on this cpu just looking for a little more speed is all nothing too wild only running stock cpu cooler but have decent case with a fair amount of airflow so doesn't run too hot anyway any help would be appreciated

Solution
go into your bios when you turn your computer on. when you first power up just keep hitting the 'del' button until it takes you into the bios. go to 'advanced frequency settings', then change 'cpu clock ratio' from 33x to 40x. save and exit.
i think you should get a liquid cooler ...a guy got it running at 4.9 ghz with liquid cooling and with stock cooling you can get it to 4.0 ghz.....and for the bios settings ....i believe this might help...http://www.overclock.net/t/1242805/finally-got-a-stable-oc-on-2500k-4-5ghz-on-p67a-ud3-b3-gigabyte-mobo-air-cooled-settings-inside

Keep the cpu multiplier to X40 instead of 45 cause the guy is not using stock cooler....in the link

dont forget to test it on prime 95...
