Hello,
I am looking to overclock my current processor until the new Ryzen chip is released. I never had done it before because I heard there could be risks, and I had used a stock fan. About 3-4 months ago I equipped my pc with a new graphics card (Rx-480-8gb VRM) and corsair liquid cooling. From what I gathered via the internet, you have a better chance of over clocking your processor with liquid cooling, so I'm hoping some fellow pc enthusiasts could give me insight on attempting this.
Currently, my hardware is:
Motherboard: Asrock 990FX Extreme 4
Video Card : Radeon RX-480 8GB GDDR5
Processor : AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor (Black Edition) (Standard speed i believe is 3.4Ghz)
Memory : PNY 16GB DDR3 [2x8GB] 1866Mhz (Currently set at 1600Mhz)
Operating System : Microsoft Windows 10 Pro Edition Service Pack 1 [anniversary update], 64-bit
Thank you for reading,
-Tim
