Question Looking to pair gtx 1080 / 1080ti with i7 4770

I have a system with core i7 4770 Processor, which i intend to use for next 2year+. So will not be upgrading anytime soon. I'm interested in purchasing a 1080/ 1080 ti which will be used with a 30 inch 2560*1600 monitor. At this resolution should that cpu be a problem, for upcoming games?

16gb ddr3 1600 ram
Asus h81 motherboard
Current gpu: 1060 3gb

That's higher than 1440p. I think it will be fine.
