I'm looking at the AMD RX 6700XT, or 66600XT or should I stick with Nvidia and go with the RTX 3060 12GB V2? Current specs are MSI X570S Tomahawk Wifi Mobo, Ryzen 3600, Corsair Vengence Pro 3200 Mhz overclocked to 3400Mhz, a GTX 1660 Super from Gigabytes GPU, Seasonic FOCUS GX-750, 750W 80+ Gold, Full-Modular, Cooler Master MasterAir MA610P RGB CPU Air Cooler,
Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Mid-Tower ATX PC Case, Corsair LL Fans with Commander XT running RGB, 4 hard drives. A Kinston 120Gb for OS, Kinston 500GB SSD, Crucial P5 500GB m.2, and the old Seagate 1Tb HDD.
My plans after the GPU purchase are to get the Ryzen 9 5900X and an AIO cooler from Corsair. I also have plans to upgrade the PSU to at least 1000 watts in the near future. Then I have enough components to build another budget PC I intend to sell.
BTW I'm gaming on 2 LG Ultrawide 29" 1080p Monitors. well using only one for when I game. Those will be a later Upgrade to a higher refresh rate and 4K.

With that all being said what is the best GPU for my system with my future plans as well. The CPU will come within 2 months after GPU build.

Please keep in mind I plan on upgrading in late 2023 to AMD's New 7000 Series CPUs and DDR5 Ram. That's why I'm looking to upgrade the PSU as well. I was worried that everything was getting pushed too far back so I upgraded my MOBO and RAM and when AMD announced that the new CPU MOBO would only be using DDR5 ram I scrapped the idea of the 7000 series for later in 2023 or 2024. SO I Have too much invested now to upgrade to the new AMD 7000 series.

You don't need to upgrade the PSU, considering that 750W is completely sufficient for my 12700K and 3070Ti, and they have a far higher combined draw than anything you plan to run. 1000W is completely overblown here.

About the card, what do need? Do you want to use Raytracing? Are there any games you play that have and that you want to use DLSS with? Raytracing on AMD cards is utter trash right now, so if that's a factor for you, AMD is off the table here. For 4k, none of those cards are awesome, the barest minimum would be a 3070Ti imho, but only something like a 3080 up would really give you a good experience there if you want to play any newer titles at all.

man if u wanna go for Ryzen 9 5900X, then you should forget about 3060. if i was u, i'd rather something more powerful even than 6700xt.
i suggest consider 3070 types. they have almost the same price of 6700xt

The PSU upgrade was for future-proofing and I wasn't going to do it until I switch to AMD's new CPU's so Over a year. As far as gaming I guess I don't care much about 4k or DLSS or Ray tracing. I can't afford a 3070, the 6700XT MSI Gamer X card is going for $530 on Newegg with a $30 rebate. As far as CPU goes I was said the 5900x to get the best responses from you guys who know more than me so I appreciate it. Most likely I'll end up with the 5600x for the price and then keep the PC until I completely have the money to switch over to the AM5 platform. I don't and can't really spend more than $550 to $600 on a GPU. I don't game that intense and I don't do anything with design. So Everything I read about the RX 6600XT isn't the best and for the price of the MSI 6700XT, I thought that was a great pick up. But I appreciate any more ideas or feedback.

I recently got an MSI 6700 XT Mech to replace my 1080 GTX and it is nearly twice as fast. I mostly play Elden ring, Cyberpunk 2077 and RD2 at 4k and high/ultra settings and the 1080 wouldnt even get 20FPS. On the 6700 I am getting at least twice that and have RT on. Its a very good card in my experience so far. The only game I have that lags a bit at the highest possible setting it GTAV, which is odd being its such an old game.

Thanks for the reply. I was looking at the Msi Gamer x 6700XT on newegg but I think the sale is now over and is out of my budget. Does the mech have RGB lights On IT? Sounds like that would be a good card for me. And I think it will fall into my budget.
