Looking to replace 2xGTX570 (sli) with a single card

Hi all,

I currently have 2 x GTX 570s in sli mode (1280MB) cards.
I'm looking to upgrade, but I'd rather not continue with SLI (given issues with my most played game), so I'm looking for a single card to upgrade to that will give me improved performance as well as some future proofing.

My system is 64bit, on an i72600k CPU, with 16GM RAM.
I have only a single monitor, and intend to keep it that way.

Can anyone recommend a single GPU that might suffice as a replacement? All of the comparisons charts I can see seem to compare against a single 570, as opposed to two operating in SLI mode.

What is the LOWEST/Cheapest single-card GPU I could get without losing performance against the two 570's in SLI?

Hi, I do not see the 2 x GTX570 in SLI on that chart.
I did a wee text search and could not find this configuration that way either.
Am I being blind?

i know it is far from valid comparison, i hope it adds more information
afaik, toms create this chart using the most powerful CPU atm to avoid any bottleneck. so this chart is a pure GPU workforce

You can wait until Next-Gen cards to release.
Or ten you can get a GTX 670 for a cheaper rate.

Please don't waste Money now.
Just wait for a Few months and get the Best out of your Money

Super thanks. Am I right in thinking that anything with a score above 80 or so SHOULD provide similar or better performance?
(the two gtx570's in sli listed on that chart give a score of 76)

Hi. Thanks, but as i said in the opening post, I'm keen to ditch sli. The game I play most often does not support it, and I'm using a third party work around to try and get it working. The result is that I'm really only using 1 x 570.

So I need to change to s single card.. but I don;t want the overall GPU performance to be reduced - because of the other games I play.

If you really want to have a single card thats the cheapest possible but with the same performance or better, I would say get the GTX 670.

I would strongly suggest waiting until the next generation of cards though, simply because you will be wasting money. You could try selling the old 570's to get some money back though as an extra option.

Hi mate,

I expect the "next generation" of cards to be fairly expensive too though, thus costing me even more money. I'd not be able to afford a 690 for example, and that's already on the market.

There's always another generation of cards just around the corner. Sooner or later one just has to buy what's on the market now.

Unless you have a specific product in mind that I should hold out for?

you will atleast get current kepler or GCN at lower rates & you need to way a bit. Also the wait never ends.
