I have a decent AMD build right now (or at least it was when I built it) but have been considering joining team Intel and what it might cost to make the leap. I was curious as to what I could carry over from my AMD build. I know Im going to need an Intel MoBo and I was looking to get the i7 6700K. I have 2 x 4gb or RAM, Thermaltake V3 case, 600w PSU, GTX 760 (also planning on upgrading to a 1060), some case fans, the stock cooling fan for a FX 6350, card reader, HDD, optical drive, and a wifi card. My monitor only has a max resolution of 1080p so Im not trying to do any 4k gaming... yet. I do occasional work in spreadsheet, video editing, and I enjoy recording/creating music as a hobby but my primary purpose would be for some AAA gaming. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can put anything in the case. But you'll have to reinstall windows

Depends what the Intel mobo uses. If it uses DDR 4 ram and if the mobo you have now uses DDR 3, you can't use it.

Theyre not compatible with each other

A decent cooler for an i7k may not fit into that old case. And I believe AMD CPU currently don't support DDR4, and DDR3 Skylake is only on H170 boards and below; all of which are unsuitable for an i7k.
