[SOLVED] Looking to Upgrade 1060 to 2070

I Currently have a gtx 1060 with a asus prime b250-pro motherboard, I'm looking to upgrade to a gtx 2070 and I'm wondering if my motherboard would be compatible?

Yes....just make sure your PSU is compatible.

You need at least a 550W quality PSU and an 8 pin PCIe plug.

I'm building my new PC tomorrow and was told my Corsair CX650M 650W 80 PLUS Bronze certified PSU is good enough for my new i5-9600K and RTX 2070. Was I told correctly? They did say I'd probably need to update the PSU in a couple years, but this PSU is only a year or so old when I got it with my 1050Ti (a bit overkill at the time on the PSU - but I was upgrading from a crappy stock no name PSU from a prebuilt PC).

I think the CX 650 should work. Just keep in mind that it is a lesser quality PSU with a pretty bad reputation from everything I've seen. If you do a search on here, I think you will find that.
