Looking to upgrade a GTX 770 SC SLI for 1440p gaming.

Not long ago I bought a couple GTX 770 SC 2gb cards to SLI with. It turned out great and the performance is seriously good, but I'm looking to future proof my rig even more and give my present GPUs to my girlfriend to help her save money in building her gaming PC.

Now the question stands, what would be a significant upgrade for my GTX 770 SLI setup? I only have a 1080p monitor atm, which I absolutely know is the most inhibiting factor for a performance boost, but I intend on getting a 1440p monitor in correlation with any GPU upgrade, so that concern would be pointless.

Any suggestions? Benchmarks welcomed.

A significant upgrade? go for 2 GTX 780 Ti's SC'ed and you will be running at more than 80 Fps in every game (Except for Crysis 3 XD)
