Question Looking to upgrade CPU

I'm looking for a CPU that could Go well with a Aorus Gigabyte 1080ti.
I would need a new Mobo as well.

Any suggustions would be great thanks.

Right now I have a 4820k i7 OC @ 4.1Ghz
Moniter is an Acer Predator 144hz XB127hu 2560×1440.

for 0 bottleneck, your best buy would be:
Intel i7-9700K. If you want to OC you will need a Z390 mobo and a solid cooler with that.
AMD Ryzen 7 2700x. B450 mobo will be fine (can overclock, you don't need X470) and cooler is also included.

AMD option is cheaper (better price-performance) but Intel is still a bit better in games (cca 10%)

You'll want Intel over AMD due to the higher refresh rate, if it was 100hz or less @1440P then Ryzen would be the better option and for $600 this is what I'd recommend.

Thanks for the advice guys. Now I have some thinking to do. I am currently using a, Noctua NH-U14S that may come in handy.
