Looking to Upgrade from AMD ATI Radeon HD 7800 Series 2GB

Need to update my video card to handle my new Monitor:

Processor AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight CoreProcessor
Memory 28.0 GB
AMD ATI Radeon HD 7800 Series 2GB

New Monitor is a Samsung Ultra-wide monitor with WQHD resolution 3440 x 1440

The video card can't handle the higher resolution and I want to upgrade
but do not what my motherboard can handle. Any suggestions on what to buy to upgrade?

You never listed your motherboard or PSU? Please list them so I can help further. Also for 1440P a Vega 56 or GTX 1070 would be good for that. If you wanna save money then a RX 590 but if you have money to burn then a 1080 TI or RTX 2080

I'd say you're in the RTX2070 camp.

Going to need a decent PSU to support that. What do you have?

Upgrade that power supply before you do anything. Use a 750W with a GPU upgrade, otherwise your system will end up in flames .....
