Looking to upgrade gaming pc

Hello everyone,
This is my current system with the following specs;

AMD FC (tm)-4130 Quad-Core Processor
NIVIDIA GeForce GT 630
8.00 GB RAM
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. GA-78LMT-S2 Motherboard
SL-8320BTX 300 Watts

I’m planning on upgrading in order play newer games with higher settings without spending a fortune, but I find myself overwhelmed on how to proceed. I was just wondering if anyone could suggest which components should be replaced and have recommendations on what I should buy. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Looking at your system I would upgrade two things for much better performance:

New GPU. New PSU. The PSU is terrible. A new GPU will significantly improve performance.

I don't believe your CPU will be able to cope with the newest graphics cards, but a decent 270x or perhaps a 280 or along those lines. That will be an amazing upgrade and not bottleneck your CPU. (I could be wrong though, I am not that familiar with AMD, unfortunately.)

That GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-S2 can handle an FX-8100 or FX-6300 95W TDP processor.

Whats your upgrade budget and in which currency?

I'm willing to spend anywhere from $200-$500 and my currency is the USD.
