I currently have SLI'd 560 Ti's. Looking for a single card, nothing fancy, that can do the job. I like the 1660 Ti but i'm not sure that it will be compatible with my motherboard ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3. Thoughts?

I'm hearing that the 1660 Ti is not sufficient for a 1440p resolution. I mostly play things like Skyrim and FPSs.... not overly onerous on the card, i don't believe.

Whats the next step up from the 1660 Ti?

Buying new today, I'd go at least RTX 2070 for 1440p. While you can play games now on a 1660 Ti/1070/2060, you'll have to make compromises on some games already and given that you likely hope to have this GPU for years, I'd recommend moving up a tier.
