Looking to upgrade GPU

So I haven't had any issues recently with my current GPU, but I've previously had problems that involved my computer blue screening as result to something with the GPU (never figured out what caused the blue screens though.) I now am looking to upgrade my GPU to something that is a lot more stable an reliable, will last a long time, and will run ultra on basically any game that's out right now. Even just high instead of ultra is fine, but I have to do medium to low at certain points with my current GPU. My computer was custom built with the help of a friend. I have okay knowledge with computers, but I'm still in the heavy stage of learning things so if you could explain your choice(s) to me, that would be greatly appreciated. Also, you can recommend other things to upgrade if you'd like (besides the GPU. It'll be a while before that gets upgraded), but just make sure you explain why, it's differences, and any other information you think would be nice to know.

Okay, so assuming in 3 years time you will have 2 1440p, if you only game on one, a 780 or if you can afford it, 780ti or r9 290x, these will max out any game on 1440p at 60fps atm, cant say much about the future so you can sli 780 to make sure it lasts 5 years or so, or go sibgle 780 or 780 ti and it should last 3 years on ultra/high

I'm not limiting myself to a budget, just looking for options right now to see what I can save up for. Also, I edited my post to include my PSU. I had to retype this about 4 or 5 times because my browser kept closing (I'm at work and not on my home computer.)

1. I don't know the answer to that because it was a hand-me-down from the same friend that helped me build the computer.
2. 1440p I think.
3. I'll probably have 2 moniters within the next three years.
