BUDGET RANGE: $<300CDN

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Use for all sorts of gaming.

CURRENT GPU AND POWER SUPPLY: AMD HD7870 / corsair cx 750

OTHER RELEVANT SYSTEM SPECS: Acer Predator G3620/ i7-3770 @ 3.4 / 12GB ram / AMD HD7870

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: memoryexpress.ca / newegg.ca

PARTS PREFERENCES: I'm fine with Nvidia or AMD.

MONITOR RESOLUTION:1920x1080 (will be going 144hz 1440p when possible)
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: This case is pretty small and I was honestly surprised to fit the HD7870 into it. Looking for best performance for the price.

Thank you in advance.

Solution
If you already have a decent video card, buying a 970 then replacing it would be spending money twice on the same thing. Just get a 1070 now, once, instead of two cards.

Yeah 980 is pretty pricey. A 1060 6gb seems like a decent choice for 300 . But i could pickup a 970 for 200 with warranty . I may go that route and save for a 1080 in the future. Any thoughts?
