I currently game on a MSI Optix 24c 1080p 144hz monitor. I want to move up to 1440p with a 27 inch display/IPS minimum 144hz. I mostly play RPGs and some FPS like, The Witcher, Sekiro, FarCry 5, Doom16/Eternal, Wolfenstein II.

But... while shopping I have been thinking  Why just go up to 27 inches? I could go big and get a 34 inch ultra wide, 1440p, VA (because it will most likely be curved), and minimum 144hz. I have looked at reviews for each, and I have about 5 monitors in mind to choose from. What I am having trouble finding is reviews comparing the two. I see lots of comparisons between 27 inch 4K vs 34 inch curved ultra-wide, but none between the two specs I am shopping for.

Have any of you tried both of these setups? Any opinions, pros and cons you have discovered?

32" ultrade wide is going to lower your frame rates if you care compared to a non ultrawide, that is some extra pixels............you may or may not care.

Will 32" fit in your space? Do you have a 2nd monitor? A lot of people want the exact same dual or triple panels.........

32" might be the best option for you, just food for thought.

I just got this last month and its been rocking so far for sub 400

That could be a deal breaker. How much of a performance hit are we talking?
