Looking to upgrade my computer's ram. Need advise.

I am looking to increase the ram on my computer. I used crucial tool that gave me a list of compatible ram that I could get. And I was wondering what series I should go for, Ballistix Elite, Ballistix Sports, or just the Ballistix. Also, should I go for 2 sticks of 8 GB or 4 sticks of 4 GB?

Always go for the least number of memory modules to achieve your systems memory requirements.

The less the number of modules installed, the less the load on the system, and less chances of issues occurring.

So 2 x 8 GB modules would be the best configuration.

Choose memory with the lowest voltage requirement. Ideally choose 1.5 V memory over higher voltage memory (such as 1.65 V).

That is all you need same timinigs as your current memory.
Their no reason to buy memory with heat shields their really just for looks you already have 8GB so buying a new set of 16gb makes no sense. Crucial guarantees it will work if you buy from them.
