Looking to upgrade my CPU

Right now I have an AMD FX-6300 3.50GHz and I'm looking to upgrade to an intel cpu.

I have around £250 budget. However this also means I will need a motherboard and maybe potentially more RAM because right now I have ddr3. Could I get some recommendations?

^Probably the best one overall, but it's not Intel. And you would need to make sure the vendor gives you an updated motherboard so that the 2200g will actually boot/post.

Maybe get a used haswell i7 and a cheap motherboard. That sounds like a better option than settling for a 4 thread only CPU. It's doable on ebay.
