[SOLVED] Looking to upgrade my CPU

Hey, i was looking to upgrade my processor since it's basically a relic at this point (AMD A10-6800K) would a Ryzen 5 2600+B450 mobo+8GB Ram be a good choice? i was thinking in pairing it with my GTX 950, i know it´s an old card but i aint got the budget for processor+GPU

Yes, Ryzen 5 2600 is a good choice. Get fast RAM, 3000 or 3200 if you can. GTX 950 is not that old; it's on par with a GTX 1050.

The 2600 is a great choice for its price point. Pair it with 2x8gb ram at atleast 3000mhz though. Ryzen really likes fast ram. It will be overkill for your 950 but will hold you over through your next GPU upgrade.

The only Ram available right now for me to get is 2400mhz, is that TOO much of a deal breaker?

It will be fine. You might lose a couple of fps, but it should run just fine. That setup will still run circles around your current system.

Most likely you can overclock that 2400 ram to 3000mhz anyway. You’ll have to loosen the timings but it won’t be the end of the world.
